Mt. Helgafell or Holy Mountain as it is called in English is one of Reykjavik´s signature mountains and is popular amongst its inhabitants. We pick you up at your hotel and drive to Kaldársel. We park the car and start our hike to the top which will take less than 2 hours. The view is absolutely amazing and you can sign the guestbook located at the very top. You will be able to see over the Reykjanes peninsula and its many volcanoes, lava fields and the capital area. The hike is suitable both for beginners and experienced hikers We hope you will leave with the feeling of stillness and being one with nature. Your guide drives you back to the pick up spot. Beautiful hike with stunning walks and views. Magnus told me so mich about the area and Iceland during the trip. Pick up and drop off worked perfectly. Definitely worth it.

The hike was wonderful. I had great conversation with my hike leader. Very patient. I was not rushed. We went at my pace. The hike was not technical compared to what I’m use to in the USA. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be back!

We had a great hike up my Mt Helgafell with our guide Magnus and his energetic Labrador. Very windy but great views and impressive landscape
