The most beautiful part of Iceland/Reykjavik is of course, the nature. The stark white landscape with the underlying volcanos, the geothermal geysers, the frozen waterfalls, the Ocean, and the highlight of the place, the Aurora Borealis, aka Northern lights every single one is worth a mention by itself.
We went on a tour by Reykjavik sightseeing tours and our guide Cristina was amazing
Not just informative, but proactive. A couple on the bus lost their phone on the tour in a waterfall and she contacted another tour operator who was just reaching there, got them to pick it up, and got them to deliver it to them. Kudos Cristina.
For travellers, a word of caution keep track of the days when you can and cannot see the Aurora. Keep an extra day. They are not visible if there are clouds and rains and then the trip is a waste. Please carry lots of woolens, it goes down to -21 °C. Keep your eyes open for open spaces where there are no street lights (especially near the ocean) where you may see the lights without a tour(we did!) Carry shoes that are suitable for ice. Ice is slippery.
Enjoy like we loved Reykjavik.
