This was fun and glad we did it. However just a few thoughts on what may make it easier. They don’t have water or drinks for free on board so please make sure you bring your own. We had relatively calm water but I could also imagine that far out there would be others that may want to take a Dramamine before hand.
The other reviews talked about catching fish after fish. We must’ve had exceptionally bad luck because after 2 1/2 hours we had to fish on the boat. Luckily our fifth stop was the one and we caught a ton in a short time. I had counted this as dinner but in hindsight a snack beforehand would have helped.
The advertisement says that it’s limited to nine people. We had twice that. They only let you fish off one side of the boat so it was crowded and it one point we were out of rods because people lose the bait as they fish. Not much to be done about that but good for awareness as it was crowded.
The staff was great. Very patient and kind. Covered everyone in many languages. Big shout out to Lucas who was right there to help time and time again.
We ran three hours and 15 mins so a bit over the published time but no doubt because of our lack of skills catching the fish. :)
Dress warm. Very warm. The coat they give you is a rain coat. Plan to have water pants as your legs and shoes will touch water and fish. The inside of the boat was good for a break. Dry and warm. Plenty of places to sit.
Departure for me was the big blue building on the harbor. The address on TripAdvisor was on google maps so super easy.
