A local food tour tour with drinks at all the stops! Tinna made our evening a total highlight of our weekend in Reykjavik! A great introductions to the downtown area and some delicious local eateries. We enjoyed everything we had A very fun excursion !

I was last in Iceland in 2017. On that trip I did the Reykjavik Food Walk which I really enjoyed so on this trip I decided to try the new Reykjavik Food and Drink Adventure. As good as the standard trip was this was even better. The trip had 5 stops. Stop 1 Forréttabarinn where we had lobster soup, bread with olive spread, lamb ribbed eye or horse ribbed eye steak, and Kaldi beer or wine of the house Stop 2 Sæta svínið where we had hot cod tacos, Viking Lager or Einstök white ale or wine. Stop 3 Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur Icelandic hot dog with Icelandic ketchup, Icelandic mustard, remoulade sauce, deep fried onion and raw onion. Note the lines here were very long. We were given a coupon to come back later. Stop 4 Ægir were we sampled Ægir Lager and Ægir White Ale. Stop 5 Hressó were we had Dates cakem Brennivín liquer and coffee. What made the trip really exceptional was the guide Solveig (Icelandic for Sun Rise). While she has guided the standard food tour before this was her first time on this tour. Hard to believe. She was a really dynamic and engaging guide who managed to interact personally with everyone in our group of thirteen. And to prove we weren't unlucky she became Fourteen. She offered lot of insights on Iceland culture and the foods we had. Based on here recommendation most of us tried the horse which was really excelent. As an American I have only eaten horse a few times. But part of the point of takeing a trip like this is to expand your horizons. After the tour she sent an emal recapping all of our stops. In additions she provided a list of recommendations. I highly recommend this tour.

Tómas was an amazing guide. I risked booking the tour the same day of my arrival to Iceland and missed the first tour. However, he called me and made it easy for me to join them and no regrets. 100% worth it!! Met amazing people and loved the tour. Five stars for this legend!!
