We did this trip through our travel agent and wasn't entirely sure what to expect.
We were picked up from the hotel and taken to the port where we were given our boarding passes for the ferry by our tour guide.
The ferry had plenty of seating and a bar on board for alcoholic, soft drinks and snacks e.g. crisps, sweets etc. I would recommend sitting at the top of the boat as the first floor outside can be a bit overpowering with fumes from the engine.
The tour guide was knowledgeable, clear and excellently juggled between German and English on the headsets.
The Island itself was beautiful. To the left of the police station is a row of little cafes/restuarants overlooking the sea and the houses built on the mountains. Lunch and drinks were not included so you will need to make sure you take money!
There was a little area where you can step down into the sea for a swim. It wasn't pointed out by the rep but I was so happy we found it. Refreshing, clear water....just what was needed under the beating sun! If you don't do this, there are opportunities to explore but you may find (as my partner did) too much free time is given. I could have happily kept swimming ????♂️
Back on the ferry which took us on a monestary. You will need to cover your shoulders to go inside. The monestary was absolutely beautiful.
When you come out there is another swimming opportunity to the right. Do not swim in front of the monestary. If this doesn't appeal, there is a cafe to get a coffee or an ice-cream and you can dangle your feet in the water.
Overall in all a very enjoyable day however, it could be improved by including lunch and knowing about these swimming areas.
