This trip takes you to the perfectly formed Harbor of Symi, one of the most beautiful picture postcard villages with neo classical pastel colored houses. You will have free time at your leisure to explore the quaint shops in search of natural sea sponges and cooking spices. Why not have a fresh fish lunch in the sunshine at one of the islands sea front taverns. After lunch the boat sets sail to the south of the island, here along the inlet stands the massive building of Panormitis Monastery. This monastery is dedicated to the Archangel Michael and has a charming bell tower and a beautiful 12th century church. It is a well-known spot of great interest and attracts many visitors and worshippers who come to see the Byzantine frescoes and engraved temple full of golden offerings.

    You will be picked up by bus from your hotel and transferred to Rhodes port (transfer's duration depends on the area of your hotel). You will then get on the boat in order to sail to Symi Island. The trip's duration is approx.1h20min.
  • Symi, Symi, Greece
    Visit to the perfectly formed Harbor of Symi, one of the most beautiful picture postcard villages with neo classical pastel colored houses. You will have the great opportunity to be guided by a professional guide and you will have free time to have a walk around the island, to have fresh seafood in one of the local tavernas (optional) and to visit the little shops with local products (sponges, herbs, honey). You will get on board, which will be sailing to Panormitis Monastery. The trip's duration is approx. 30 minutes.

    This monastery is dedicated to the Archangel Michael and has a charming bell tower and a beautiful 12th century church. It is a well-known spot of great interest and attracts many visitors and worshippers who come to see the Byzantine frescoes and engraved temple full of golden offerings. You will have the unique experience of visiting this monastery with a professional guide. You will then get on board in order to sail back to Rhodes island. The trip duration is approx. 1h30 min. As soon you will arrive at Rhodes port you will be transferred by bus back to your hotel.

We’ve traveled with Discoverd1 a bunch of times over the years and honestly they’re the best guided tour company we’ve found in Rhodes! Everyone’s super friendly, easy to talk to and they really care about making sure you’re comfy and having fun ???? Last time we stayed in Haraki and they even picked us up for free ???? which is amazing because Haraki isn’t the most popular spot and it’s kinda far too! That little detail just shows how much they go the extra mile Their prices are also super affordable so me and my husband got to book a few tours in one trip ???? we did some cruises, the 6 hour Chalki tour with swimming (so relaxing ????????) and our absolute fav was the Symi Island + Panormitis Monastery tour… breathtaking views and such a peaceful vibe ???? Really grateful for the experience and definitely recommending Discoverd1 to anyone coming to Rhodes! You’re gonna love it ???? t!

Traghetto da Rodi verso Symi. Il biglietto a/r al porto di Rodi costa 25 €, mentre online costa 34 €. Durata della corsa 1 h e 20 min. Prima fermata al Monastero di Panormitis. A me non è piaciuto molto. Seconda fermata, pochi minuti nella baia di st. George, per fare qualche foto. Infine arrivo a Symi, paesino carinissimo, con le sue casette colorate che si rispecchiano nel mare. Paesaggio incantevole, con spettacolare vista dal mare. A symi c'è anche un trenino che porta nel punto panoramico, costo ticket 8 €. Molti negozietti di souvenir, ristorantini, belle spiagge. Giornata molto carina. Consigliata !

The island of Symi is definitely worth a visit! Interesting construction of the houses and history to the island. Very friendly residents. Monastery of Archangel Michael in Panormitis is very interesting and worth a visit!
