We offer a memorable 1-hour rib boat tour around the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago. The islands are home to many different species of birds, one of which is the Atlantic puffin. Vestmannaeyjar host one the largest Atlantic puffin colony in the world and our rib boat tour is an ideal way to learn more about this iconic bird. Our skilled captain will also navigate you in and around the many sea caves of the area and one of our favorite spots is in Klettshellir sea cave where the acoustics are magnificent!

Fantastic way to see the island and the birds. So many puffins! We had a great tour guide and experience!

The folks who run this tour were super great. I gave it only a 3 because you don't get close to the puffins which we had hoped to do by boat. You do see them on the cliffs together with other birds kind of and you don't hang around long enough to view them with binoculars. We actually got a much better connection to puffins from the observation area on Westman island where they next literally have their nests next to it. Otherwise, it was a great tour.

If you have a couple of hours on the island, do yourself a really big favor and take this incredibly enjoyable and fun tour of the Westman Island!! The company, as we were told at the end of the tour is made up primarily of Island residents (some multi-generational) and it shows. Our guide's passion and experience was on full display. It turned out to be a beautiful morning - full of puffins and caves and loads of history! The music and the captain's enjoyable (and sometimes scary [good] ) ride made it all even more enjoyable. Walk the volcano, visit the puffin overlook, go to the museum, eat at Krain's, but most definitely, take this tour - and try to sit in the first row. You'll be smiling the entire hour + and keep smiling on the ferry ride back to the mainland.
