    Lady Douglas will cruise up the calm waterway of the Dickson Inlet, spotting shipwrecks, birds, crocodiles, crabs, mudskippers and other animals along the way. Then the cruise will go along the waterfront of the Marina and out to the front of Port Douglas, pointing out the historical buildings of Port Douglas and the surrounding coastline along the way. The whole cruise is on calm water.

The commentary was humorous and it was wonderful to see the crocodile in the wild. However the seats are so uncomfortable that I felt better standing for the whole trip and the snack box was pathetic. We were offered a complimentary drink as part of the deal. The scenery was very different. I had not seen mangroves in that sort of quantity before and it was an eye-opener. Not exactly beautiful, but certainly a very different tourist attraction.

The booking portal was easy and friendly to use. We were welcomed on board with a refreshing drink and a small snack which was delightful. The amount of educational information given throughout the tour was sensational and we were made to feel right at home. Lovely boat with paddles lapping the water made for a serene one and a half hour journey up the river and even out into the bay. Tour hosts were fab with a warming sense of humour. We even saw three crocodiles!! Not to be missed!!

We took the evening cruise and had a great time. Didn’t see any crocs but the staff, ongoing commentary was really helpful in providing insight into Port Douglas. Free drink and some food thrown in and yes, it was good fun
