Robben Island is one of the biggest attractions for tourists when visiting South Africa and on this tour, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the prison museum, take the Long March to Freedom in the footsteps of former president Nelson Mandela and view his prison cell where he lived for 18 years of his 27 year sentence. The Robben Island tour takes up to 4 hours including return ferry boat transfers. The tour also offers a unique experience to explore the Cape Town city and enjoy beautiful views from Table Mountain.

    You will be picked up from your accommodation in Cape Town between 07:30am and 08:00am - Please can you kindly wait in the hotel lobby. We will travel to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island, where you will proceed directly to the boat departures line. Once you have boarded the shared boat you will set sail on the open sea to Robben Island Museum. Upon your arrival, you will disembark the boat and be guided on a bus by a resident Robben Island Tour Guide for a tour of the island. The guide will provide live commentary about Robben Island and its history. The tour will culminate with a view of the prison cell where former President Nelson Mandela was held as a prisoner and an opportunity to take a walk in his historical footsteps on The Long March to Freedom. Once the tour of Robben Island has concluded, you will embark the boat for your return back to the V&A Waterfront. The entire tour duration including the boat trips is approximately 4-hours.

(Please remain in close proximity to your tour guide and keep your belongings with you at all times.) The area was formerly known as the Cape Malay Quarter, and it is here that you will have the opportunity to buy some Malay spices and/or taste some Malay foods like Samoosas, Melktert (Milk Tart), and Koeksisters (own account). Your tour guide will share stories of the history of the colorful houses.

    End the tour with a stop at Table Mountain, where we will take the Cable Car to the top of the mountain. Here visitors will be given a guided tour of the mountain and see Cape Town from a different dimension. Table Mountain is known as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature and displays breathtaking views from this interesting mountain range. Thereafter, we will drop you off at your accommodation in Cape Town. Please note: The tour price does not include your Table Mountain Cable Car ticket and we recommend that visitors pre-purchase their Table Mountain Cable Car ticket ahead of time to avoid the ticketing queues.     We spent a few days in Cape Town, however we would have missed so much if we didnt do this tour. Our guide not only took us to interesting places but he knew so much about each place and you could tell he really has a passion for Cape Town, its history and its people. Table Mountain was a big tick off the bucket list and our guide knew the perfect time for us to go in order to avoid the crazy long lines we had heard of. The best view of Cape Down is from way up in the clouds and we loved every part of the day !

    Table Mountain is majestic AF Best experience ever! People experience this mountain with this tour guided! Only half the experience without our tour guide tbh:)
