Kalbarri’s ocean is full of some of the world’s most premium wild-caught seafood. Let us take you out to experience catching our world famous Western Rocklobster! Learn about the local Rock Lobster Industry with a real-life insight into how this renowned crustacean is caught, graded and enjoyed. After boarding the boat at the Kalbarri Marina, you venture out through the river mouth & into the ocean. From here you will view the coastal town of Kalbarri from a very different perspective. We pull our lobster pots, re-bait, then re-set them back into the ocean- keeping the prize catch where we return to the marina & you have the option to take some Rock Lobster with you! We have the capacity to pull up to 12 lobster pots so tour times vary between 1-2 hours depending on the catch rate.

Great activity and highly recommended! I learned a lot on how cray fish are caught. Also experienced a beautiful sunrise over Kalbarri shoreline. Wear something warm during winter because it can be windy.

Friendly, informative trip this morning. Got to keep crayfish worth more than the trip cost. Impressed to say the least. Would definitely recommend taking this tour.

We really enjoyed the lobster pot pulling trip. Plenty of crays and sharks and very informative. It’s a no brainer really if you’re in Kalbarri and if I wasn’t reviewing both Reefwalker’s lobster and the fishing charter then it’s a 5/5. The fishing charter was really disappointing though. The demersal bag limits are ridiculous but obviously not the operators fault. The issue I had was that on an 8hr charter we had 1hr fishing time before we hit the boat bag limit. And most of the fish were pink snapper in the mid 40cm range with a few better fish thrown into the mix. I also think the operators should advertise the limit on the websites or when booking - one of the reasons for going on a charter is so that I don’t have to worry about bag limits and regulations. So it’s a bit of a weird complaint - catching too many fish, too quickly - and it sounds like a big whinge. I just think the fishing could have been managed better cause if we had been catching other pests (sharks, blowfish or jackets) we would have moved spots. The Skip also pulled some lobster pots and we also trolled home but when the deckie starts cleaning the boat at the start of the troll you know there’s not much hope of you getting a pelagic especially with 15 people on board. Anyway, as a fishing charter experience I would give it a 2/5. But I don’t think it would matter who you went with given the 2 fish bag limit.
