What an amazing experience!!! We went on our first cruise and booked a small group tour to view all the main spots in Rome. Since it was our first time on a cruise, we didn't know what to expect. After doing a big bus tour the day before to visit Florence and Pisa, this small group tour with "Driver in Rome" was awesome. Our driver / guide Costinel was amazing!!! He was super friendly, knowledgeable and got us to all the locations quickly and safely. And he also gave us plenty of time to take pictures at each location. There was a lot less walking compared to the bigger bus tours as the driver can take the van to areas that the buses are not allowed to go to. And things were super easy, the driver picked us up right at the port where we exited the ship and he held up a sign with our names on it so it was really easy to find him. We shared the van with 5 other people and it was a really nice experience. Our driver also suggested a restaurant where we could eat all together and that was one of the best parts of the day. The restaurant was away from the tourist areas so it was quieter and the food was amazing, especially the pizza. All in all, a fantastic time, small group tours like this are the way to go. Thanks Costinel for taking us around today and also for showing us the best view in the city, you're the best!

The drivers are very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They keep on the time schedule and will have you back at the boat with time to spare.

In terms of ground covered, it was a solid tour. However, we found our tour guide to be less informative about the city (not a whole lot of historical info provided). When the guide did speak, it was hard to hear him from the back of the van. The mic/audio was very muffled (it seemed like it was a tech issue). The most difficult part of the tour was that the guide didn’t make clear the meeting times and where to meet. We relied on the other tourists in the first and second rows of the van to clarify this information. It would have been helpful if the guide was more mindful that there were others in the last row. At times the others in the van had to clarify with the guide the meeting times/place, so it’s clear that this wasn’t a singular occurrence. The guide was friendly and the city was beautiful, so I think 3 stars captures the overall experience.
