6-Day Venice, Garda & Northern Italy Small-Group Tour from Rome

Such an amazing week long tour of beautiful Italy. Small group which meant was very personable and intimate. Highly recommend.

Fantastic small group tour, that took us to amazing places in northern Italy. Super comfortable van. Having both a driver and a guide meant we could be dropped off in one place, enjoy a guided tour and then be picked up somewhere else later - very convenient. The tour included an excellent 4-star hotel in Bologna and a good 3-star hotel in Padua; both were well located and smart choices. We were very well looked after. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Rabbie’s and this specific tour highly enough. First, about Rabbie’s: this is a very well established brand in the UK, particularly Scotland, and I’ve been lucky enough to do several of Rabbie’s multi day tours. I’m a big fan. These European mainland tours are a brand new summer 2022 expansion for Rabbie’s, but this is a very good and experienced tour company with an unheard of 4.9 or something on Trustpilot and thousands of 5 star reviews on their UK service. Everything is very clear and easy in the booking process. They offer guaranteed departures so if it’s only one person who signs up for the tour, it will go. If a smaller number of people sign up, they may use a Mercedes 8 seater van, or otherwise it’s usually a Mercedes 16 seater minibus. Either way, the transport is very comfortable and air conditioned with huge windows. Rabbie’s hires the best driver/guides, and this sets them apart. Super professional, experienced, caring. On this tour, leader Sebastian and driver Andrea really made the experience special. Both were outstanding. Sebastian made the extra effort to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable, and made recommendations even for the evenings when we explored on our own. Andrea was a very good driver who was always looking out for us. I felt very happy and comfortable. This particular tour was exceptionally planned, curated and balanced. Each day was filled with a number of sights or activities that were varied, and often in locations that were off the beaten track or hard to get to, but very special. But also mixing in the major, must-see sights of the area. One highlight for us was a farmhouse lunch served on the terrace of a house in Tuscany with a home cooked, exquisite meal in a remote village I’d have never found on my own. I also like the idea of being able to do wine tastings or grappa tastings or Prosecco tastings without worrying about the driving. We were traveling with our niece and I was trying to imagine designing and doing a similar trip on our own - the driver/tour leader just really take the stress out of the experience. Do yourself a favor and book this tour. It is simply outstanding. Thank you to Rabbie’s, Sebastian and Andrea.
