To celebrate in an unusual and unique way, join us in the Capuchins Convent Hall for a special Christmas Baroque Concert, performed "a cappella" by the prestigious Schola Romana Ensemble. This event truly embraces the spirituality of Christmastime, through the power of sacred music and with a tour of the Capuchin Museum and Crypt that will walk you through the history and devotion of the Franciscans. The tour after the concert can be on your own with an audioguide or guided by an art historian (depending on your ticket). All tickets include the entrance fee to the Capuchin Museum and Crypt, the concert, and the introduction to the musical program in English. A traditional Roman dinner is available after the concert (if option is selected) at the restaurant "Il Piccolo Vicolo" (Vicolo dei Chiodaroli 16).

    Santa Maria Immacolata is the Capuchins church in Rome, built by Pope Urbano VIII Barberini (XVII c.) close to Piazza Barberini, in Via Veneto, one of the most famous streets of Rome, set of the film La Dolce Vita, by Federico Fellini. Inside the church, you can see masterpieces by Guido Reni (S. Michele Arcangelo), Domenichino, Pietro da Cortona, Gherardo delle Notti, Antonio Sacchi and others. The shocking Crypt-museum is decorated with 4.000 bones of friars. Here you can find also a masterpiece of Caravaggio: La meditazione di S. Francesco. Program Music of the Sistine Chapel by Palestrina, Arcadelt, Morales, Victoria, Pitoni, Agazzari, Gregorian chants performed live by Schola Romana Ensemble, our resident historically informed music group. It was OK. The information on the meeting point was incomplete and unclear, so we had to keep walking around and asking where to go. If you're into Capuchin monks, this is the museum for you.

Great experience however, the meeting point address from Viator was incorrect. It was a half mile away from the actual meeting point in front of the museum.

A beautiful, soothing performance to remind you that this is what Christmas is all about. Only four voices and you feel as though you are hearing a heavenly choir. Go, feel blessed, then do good works.
