The ancient town was covered by ashes of the Mount Vesuvius eruption in 79 A.C. and has been captivating archaeologists from all over the world, since the excavations began. Walking through the extensive ruins of Pompeii with your personal tour guide for 2 hours, you’ll see Mount Vesuvius from a distance. After a nice lunch in a typical trattoria in Pompeii your driver will take you back to Rome.

This was the second time using Italy Rome Tours and this time for a day trip to Pompeii. The trip was organised so well and it could not have been better. Our driver was knowledgable and patient when we made our way around Pompeii. We didn't go to Mt. Vesuvius as planned due to weather restrictions, but this was made up with a visit to Naples instead and real Napoli pizza. Thanks Max for arranging another amazing trip. No doubt we will be back!
