The Construction began in 72AD and was completed in 80 AD under his successor and heir, Titus The Colosseum is built of travertine limestone, tuff volcanic rock and brickfaced concrete. It could hold an estimated 50,000 to 80,000 spectators at various points in its history it was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles including animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Roman mythology, and briefly mock sea battles. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era.

    Was a little bit sceptical to start with because there wasn’t many reviews on the tour, although we took the chance and It played out well. The meeting point for the ticket was easy to locate the guy was super friendly and helpful as we got lost and had to ask for help. The tour itself was incredible I would recommend to anyone visiting Rome.

    This tour operator sold me a ticket to the colosseum in Rome for a day when the colosseum was closed. They screwed me and didn’t refund my money.

    Levede ikke op til det vi købte. Vi købte fast track til at kunne gå i eget tempo begge steder. Men i stedet sagde guiden at han havde opbrugt hvor mange individuelle han kunne tage med, så vi skulle med på gruppe. Vi fik cirka 40 minutter i colosseum og fik slet ikke set nok. For vi skulle nå ud til guiden, for at komme videre. Dårlig oplevelse og vi køber aldrig her igennem igen.
