A citizen of Rome, Apostle Paul requested to be brought back upon being falsely accused at the Temple of Jerusalem. Step inside the Mamertine Prison near the Roman forum, Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul were both imprisoned here and many of the prisoners were baptized and converted during their time inside.
Visit the Church of Santa Maria in Via Lata to see the undergrounds and the roman rooms where Sant Paul lived for two years during his imprisonment.
End with the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, the tomb of the Saint is located in this magnificent basilica.
Choose the option with 4 hours private tour to visit the Abbey of the Three Fountains. During his second time as a prisoner in Rome, Saint Paul was martyred, as his head bounced three times on the floor three outflows of water miraculously sprung. Their miraculous water used to be collected by people until pollution forced them to close the springs.

Abbazia di San Paolo Fuori Le Mura, Rome, Italy One of Rome's majos basilicas, Saint Paul outside the Walls Basilica is the resting place of Saint Paul as his tomb is located here. 60 minutes
Abbazia delle Tre Fontane, Rome, Italy Tre Fontane Abbey also known as the Abbey of Saints Vincent and Anastasius stands on the site where St Paul was beheaded. At each of the three points his head bounced once beheaded a spring of water emerged, one hot, one tepid and one cold. Three fountains are featured in the church enclosed by black marble shrines, placed on different levels. Believed to be miraculous, water from these fountains used to be distributed for the faithful until the 1950 when the spring had to be closed due to pollution. The column where St. Paul was bound before being executed is also in this religious site. 30 minutes

Our guide, John Luke, was absolutely wonderful! He went above and beyond and was extremely knowledgeable. We were really interested in the Biblical aspects of the Apostles, and he had many recommendations for us. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for John Luke...thank you.
