    The monumental stairway of 135 steps was built with French diplomat Étienne Gueffier's bequeathed funds of 20,000 scudi, in 1723–1725, linking the Trinità dei Monti church that was under the patronage of the Bourbon kings of France and the Bourbon Spanish Embassy at the top of the steps to the Holy See in the Palazzo Monaldeschi at the bottom of the steps. The stairway was designed by architects Francesco de Sanctis and Alessandro Specchi.

    The Capitolium or Capitoline Hill, between the Forum and the Campus Martius, is one of the Seven Hills of Rome. The hill was earlier known as Mons Saturnius, dedicated to the god Saturn.The word Capitolium first meant the temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus later built here, and afterwards it was used for the whole hill (and even other temples of Jupiter on other hills), thus Mons Capitolinus (the adjective noun of Capitolium).     The Via del Corso is a main street in the historical centre of Rome. It is straight in an area otherwise characterized by narrow meandering alleys and small piazzas. Considered a wide street in ancient times, the Corso is approximately 10 metres wide, and it only has room for two lanes of traffic and two narrow sidewalks. The northern portion of the street is a pedestrian area. The length of the street is roughly 1.5 kilometres.
  • Circus Maximus, Rome, Italy
    The Circus Maximus is an ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium and mass entertainment venue in Rome, Italy. In the valley between the Aventine and Palatine hills, it was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome and its later Empire. It measured 621 m (2,037 ft) in length and 118 m (387 ft) in width and could accommodate over 150,000 spectators.[2] In its fully developed form, it became the model for circuses throughout the Roman Empire. The site is now a public park.
  • Piazza Navona, Rome, Italy
    Piazza Navona is a public open space in Rome. It is built on the site of the Stadium of Domitian, built in the 1st century AD, and follows the form of the open space of the stadium. The ancient Romans went there to watch the games, and hence it was known as "Circus Agonalis" ("competition arena"). It is believed that over time the name changed to in avone to navone and eventually to navona.

The golf cart helped us see all the key sights in a very short time! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and customized the tour for us! Having a separate guide and driver was helpful as parking is difficult - even for golf carts!

Nicola is the best guide. He was so knowledgeable and interesting. He brought so much of Ancient Rome to life! The golf cart was a fun way to get around. We were able to see more than we expected and having a guide who was born and raised in Rome made it even better. He made great recommendations for restaurants, etc.

Amazing experience that was made possible due to the great guide Antonella. She was great in her information on the sites seen, and we saw them all. Even better she went with our flow, my girlfriend loves to take selfies and we took 100's. At the end of the day, Antonella even took us shopping ...which was big for my girlfriend after a long day of sight seeing. The golf cart driver was excellent, keeping watch over items purchased at the various sights ...while we would be exploring another sight. I highly recommend this tour and even more Antonella.
