    A few steps from the Trevi Fountain, over nine meters below today’s street level, the archaeological surveys carried out between 1999 and 2001 during the renovation of a cinema brought to light a large ancient residential complex. The term “City of Water”, commonly used to define the archaeological area of ​​Vicus Caprarius, is however due to the element that undoubtedly characterizes the site the most. We had a guide to ourselves which was a bonus. She was informative and so easy to get on with. She explained everything and was so patience with our endless questions. She made sure she spent all the time booked and even recommended other places to visit which we did and was not disappointed. We really enjoyed the tour and understanding the history of the city. Amazing.
