Our guide, Simona Mariotti, was extremely knowledgeable, clear and pleasant. Being an archaeologist herself, she had in-depth practical knowledge of the area and she transmitted to us, a group of around 9 from various countries, her enthusiasm, illustrated by pictures of reconstructions.
Despite persistent drizzle, we had a most enjoyable and educational tour. Highly recommended! The answer to why the floor is sagging in the dining hall is: hypocaust! Thank you, Simona.
