You will have the chance to admire valleys, towns and small medieval towers along the way.
The route, which we will cover to reach Orvieto, is located on the top of a hill made of tuff and it is very suggestive. You will fall in love with the marvelous Umbria, admiring one of the most beautiful wide valleys of the region.
Once arrived in Orvieto, we will guide you along the picturesque alleys, full of pottery small shops; then, we will visit the Cathedral Square and the Clock Square, and, if you want, there will be the chance to visit also the underground cells where in the past oil and wine used to be preserved.
For lunch, we will move 15 minutes by car from Orvieto, in order to reach a farm overlooking the valley, with wine yards and fruit trees. Here, you can taste local products, good wine and get tempted by truffle dishes in a fabulous scenery.

Duomo di Orvieto, Orvieto, Italy Duomo di Orvieto is a large 14th Roman Catholic Cathedral 20 minutes
Torre del Moro, Orvieto, Italy Torre del Moro stands in the hearth of the city, and it takes its name from Raffaele di Sante, called "il Moro" 45 minutes
Porano, Porano, Italy From Porano there is an amazing panoramic view of the Duomo of Orvieto and other natural views of the valleys of the rivers Tevere and Paglia. The historic center is still defined by a ring of medieval walls, largely intact, and thus the village retains the typical fortified, characterized by narrow alleys, steps, and architectural remains from different historical periods. 30 minutes
Via del Popolo, 05018 Orvieto TR, Italy The clean geometric forms and authoritative mass of this 13th century civic palace are simply beautiful! The piazza in which it is located is also charming and the site of a bustling market on Thursday and Saturday mornings. There are also several really great cafés in the piazza. This was one my favorite settings in Orvieto, a couple of blocks off the well-trod tourist path. 30 minutes

Al and I loved this wonderful journey from Roma to Orvieto. A beautiful day of scenery, shopping, food and wine provided by the best tour service in Roma. Our second time working with Ivano and he once again surpassed our expectations.

They trip to Orvieto was very nice and a switch up from the city of Rome. The best unexpected surprise was the additional trip to the winery Madonna Del Latte! We had a private tour with the owner and it was by far our best wine tour experience! The wine was amazing and the tastings from the neighboring farms was so incredible.

Orvieto, small and quaint. The Duomo is magnificent. The underground city is a must see. Thank you DGS for suggesting and providing this tour. The charming town is very different from Rome. We experienced a different way of life in Italy. The drive from Rome to Orvieto is comfortable and relaxing. Marco, explained and told stories along the way. We saw hilltop towns, farmers' fields, and of course Olive trees.
Marco took us to a local restaurant with a spectacular view, we saw the town of Orvieto from a different angle. The foods, the pasta, the steak.... are beyond words can described. We will be back to Orvieto and visit their vineyard next time.
