  • Vatican management maintains the right to delay the opening of the Sistine Chapel for religious reasons, in this case the guide will modify the itinerary and extend your visit of the museums to ensure you make the most of your time before access to the Sistine Chapel is permitted.

    Cinzia was an excellent guide on this comprehensive tour of the Museum and the Vatican Sistine chapel. The pace and depth of information was just perfect for our party of 4 Brits. Cinzia’s level of knowledge was outstanding but she knew when to move on and keep the momentum going!! Overall an excellent experience, well worth it.

    Con: When I signed up for this I thought we went directly to the Sistine Chapel but know this is not the case. The other couple with us thought the same so somewhere in their literature this was stated/implied but that is not the case. Pro: There were just four of us with the tour guide which was great. Our guide Anna Lisa was very knowledgeable. We did go through many areas of the Vatican I have never been in before (this was my 4th visit). Plus most of the areas that are usually crammed with people were almost empty as we had such early access. You now exit the Vatican down the spiral staircase which I had not seen on prior visits so that was cool. I definitely recommend this tour. You need to go in the Vatican early to truly enjoy it.
