We have guides who are entertaining. We visit the newly opened Museum in the Forum which has the skeletal remains from 3000 BC & the interiors of the Temple of Venus. We expensively tour the Palatine Hill where the Roman Emperors lived. We use visual aids to help you visualize the past. We tour the Colosseum and its first tier for an hour, showcasing the engineering, history, politics behinds the one of the 7th wonder of the world. Many times, we tour for more than 3 hours there, for me want to make your 1st trip memorable.

Walk through the ruins of elite Roman society of Ancient times.

  • Palatine Hill, Rome, Italy
    Lastly, climb to the top of the Palatine Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome and home to Emperor Tiberius, Domitian & Nero. Its name comes from the word "palace" and it overlooks the Roman Forum on one side and Circus Maximus on the other. Also known as the place where the she-wolf found Romulus & Remus, it represents the birthplace of the Roman Empire.

Rahul provided an amazing experience for us while in Rome. It is truly an amazing city, and Rahul was so much more than a tour guide. He brought the city to life for us!! He is so passionate about sharing all of his knowledge and we greatly appreciated having him as our guide! Thanks again!!

We enjoyed it so much. Jack and Norah went on an all day tour through Israel with me, and it was horrible. Soured them to tours. I asked them to give it one more chance, and you just completely changed their minds. A tour is as good as the tour guide, and they said you were so descriptive and really brought things to life. And had spectacular answers to their questions. Well done Rahul. Five stars!!!

Working with Europe Odyssey Tours was a fantastic experience right from the start. They were in fact, recommended by a friend, who had used their tours recently as well. Communication in planning the tour weeks in advance from the USA was quick, efficient, and well-organized. We had Rahul as our guide for Ancient Rome/Colosseum, who was superb. His knowledge was vast and engaged with our interest throughout the day. A seven-hour tour went by very quickly - as they say, "time flies when you're having fun!". My 12-year old son asked many questions, and each were answered in such a patient and encouraging manner. We toured with Guiseppe for the Vatican City - he too, was knowledgeable. Finally, Cirro was our guide for Pompei. Touring Pompei with him was LOTS of fun. He brought Pompei to life with explaining every aspect of the many ruins. All in all - I would recommend Europe Odyssey thoroughly. I was a little nervous booking our many days in Rome and Venice from the USA, weeks in advance. But as our trip neared, I was incredibly comfortable with our planned itinerary, what to expect, and how/when to meet our guides. All guides and personal drivers were punctual, and incredibly personable, approachable, and made our trip to Italy memorable!
