This is worth doing to get your bearings on this beautiful city. The guided tour on board is ideal. You can hop on and off at your leisure. Better to prebook as there are a lot of touting going on.

We waited at the stop for 45 minutes. No busses drove by at all. We ended up having to take a scooter to each landmark in Rome and completely wasted our money on this tour.

We walked all around the Colosseum and never found the bus stop. The meeting point for that stop just listed the street and not an exact location. Boarding at one of the other stops might have worked better.
