You will meet your guide outside the Vatican Museum and bypassing the lines with your skip-the-line ticket you increase quick passage to the gallery complex. You go through a few of the historical centers displays and rooms; Gallery of Maps, Gallery of Tapestries and furthermore enter the Pinecone Courtyard. You at that point work your way towards the shocking Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's notorious frescoes; The Last Judgements and the Creation of Adam.     As you leave the displays you enter the glorious Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's famous roof frescoes The Last Judgment and The Creation of Adam on one of the sanctuary's dividers. (There is no talking inside the house of prayer so your guide will clarify everything before section).

  • St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City, Italy
    You will see Michelangelo's Pietà and your guide will clarify why this is the main work that he marked. You will pick up an energy about the authority that went into the production of Bernini's altarpiece and figure out how Michelangelo triumphed over his peers for the respect to paint St. Peter’s heavenly arch. There is still more to see however subterranean level. You guide will lead you subterranean to the ecclesiastical tomb where, throughout the hundreds of years, a significant number of the Popes have been buried. This unique place is a site of journey for some Catholics. In spite of the fact that talking is permitted, before you enter the grave you guide will disclose to you where the most vital popes are let go.

    A lot to see, and not enough time to do so. But it was amazing. I wished we had been able to go down the stairs but our last stop was St Peters so I didn’t get to go down the stairs. I was lucky and our tour guide was very informative and was able to answer any and all questions that the group had. I can’t remember his name but he is an archaeology professor at the university. He was great. I will go back again and do this tour.

    What a magical place! Our tour guide Claudia was just phenomenal, not just in the amount of knowledge and stories but also her passion about the history! She was very engaging, if you book the kids tour, she's AMAZING! The only issue we had is that when we booked, we were asked the ages of our kids (via the TripAdvisor site) and we specified 15 & 16. Somehow that didn't get passed on to the trip manager and Claudia thought our kids would also be young kids. She was so sweet and apologetic because she didn't have 'goodies' for our teens. This didn't affect the fun and the quality of the tour, she's amazing! And just being in Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel is a MUST while in Rome!!!

    Tom was a great tour guide. Perhaps mention in directions that your guide will be holding up your surname at the meeting point. That would be helpful.
