Don’t get the audio tour in advance because the one the Vatican provides is much better. If you’re an independent person I also recommend not going on a guided tour because there’s just so much to see that you’d rather choose what interests you most. The guided tours barely look at any of the amazing modern art because it’s near the end and everyone wants to get to the Sistine chapel. So just get an advance ticket and go on your own. But best museum I’ve ever been to and I went alone.

The Sistine Chapel was not included in the tour while the operator didn't announce it during the booking process. The conclave had ended a day before so they left us under the impression that the Sistine could be open. It was a terrible disappointment to find it still closed and they refused to refund us.
