We will start our tour from the Vatican museum to visit the very best of the collection, with the Pinecone courtyard , the Gallery of Roman statues, the tunnel of Geographic Maps, to finally reach the Sistine Chapel and fall in love with the immortal art of Master Michelangelo. The second part of our tour will be dedicated to the Colosseum. Before reaching the amphitheater, however, we will visit Piazza Navona, with its beautiful Bernini’s Fountain, and the Pantheon, a true masterpiece erected by emperor Hadrian in 120 after Christ. For lunch, we suggest a great piece of Roman pizza at the local market of “Campo De’ Fiori”, to recharge our batteries before the tour to the Colosseum. We will move to the Colosseum with our limo-van, ready to discover the true icon of Eternal city! Our passionate guide will show you the secrets of the great Amphitheater Flavio, explaining you the life of gladiators with many little anecdotes and curiosities.

We loved the tour Ivano gave us, that we booked our second tour for the very next day! You do not expect to learn anything when you are on vacation but Ivano made it so easy that it was a huge part of the fun! Not only did we learn new information along every stop of our tour but we were given time to relish in the scenery, take pictures and even have our picture taken! Planning on bringing family to Rome in the near future and will be booking with Ivano and his wife, Roberta!

The most complete and informative tour possible of these two landmarks of Rome. Giuliano, our guide, lived and breathed the city. His knowledge of the Colosseum made us feel like we experienced the era ourselves and the walk up Palatine Hill was breathtaking. Following lunch, a stop at the Pantheon was a true marvel as Giuliano’s passion was quite evident. Finally, the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel made for a perfect day. Avoiding ticket lines and expert commentary were a real pleasure. DGS showed their true expertise and professionalism on this magnificent tour.
