Husky Safari and Salmon Ice Fishing is one of our bestselling tours. The tour combines learning and experiencing Finnish culture and habits with a great husky adventure. Catching a fish is not guaranteed, but in our private lake, your chances are high. Plus, you are catching for a salmon! If you catch one, you can have it smoked on location or take it and prepare it at home. In this tour, we have a small-group guarantee and there will not be more than 16 participants.

We will inform you about the exact time of your pick-up by e-mail. Please be ready for the pick-up service at the reception of your accommodation or at the meeting place at least 5 minutes before the pick-up time. In special occasion, the pick-up time might change. In such case, we will contact you.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

The whole experience was amazing! We were the only one’s in the morning. The dogs were full of energy and we first had a short explanation how to ride the sleigh. Then it was time to head out and we had an amazing trip. The dogs were so well trained and halfway through the trip there was time to switch places and takes some pictures. Afterwards we continued the rest of the trip and it was nice to be able to sit as well as drive the sleigh yourself. When we got back we got a sausage and some warm juice as a little break before we continued with ice fishing. We were given instructions and were allowed to catch 5 fish in total since we were with a group of 5. It was such a fun experience and we caught 5 fish! Some we got them to prepare here on the fire and the rest we are able to bring home with us. The people here were so incredibly nice and kind and very pleasant. We had a lot of fun conversations in between the activities. Overall 10/10 experience I highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience! We had a great Husky tour in the south west of Rovaniemi, followed by a nice barbecue and interesting stories from our guide José who told us a lot about finish traditions and history! All in all, I can highly recommend this tour, especially with José.
