Discover charming Istria by vising the mystic medieval town of Motouvn. Surrounded by the walls, at the top of the hill, more than 200m above the sea offers a stunning view of vineyards, and forests full of world-famous truffles. During the 14th century, Venetians fortified the hilltop town with a still-existing set of city walls, making it a breathtaking example of Venetian architecture. You will visit a town and do a walking tour of the city, getting to know the legends, visiting the main square, and tasting the hidden treasure of surrounding forests – you will taste the world-famous truffles. After that, you will have a chance to climb the city walls, to get that stunning view of the surroundings. Our half-day exploring will end up in the early afternoon by returning to your accommodation.

The experience we had today with Mateo was nothing short of amazing. He was funny, smart, perfectly timed every part of our trip and went above and beyond when he found out it was our honeymoon. We had a blast; it was like driving around with a really informed friend who told you about history as he steered you towards great food and wine. I seriously can not gush enough about the whole thing--- absolutely perfect!

Een tochtje naar Rovinj is zeer de moeite waard. Je kunt het uiteraard op eigen gelegenheid doen, dan kun je beter bepalen hoe lang in dat plaatsje en/of andere plaatsjes verblijft, maar de gids erbij maakt het wel veel interessanter. We hadden een leuke gids (Sasha), vrolijk en ze wist en vertelde veel. Achteraf bezien had ik langer dan 1,5 uur in Rovinj willen blijven en had ik daarna alleen nog Bale (heel pittoresk) willen bezoeken. Het laatste plaatsje vond ik minder interessant. De bus had iets luxer gekund, maar aan dat soort dingen stoor ik me nooit zo.
