This guided walk with our unique guides, Stuart Usher or his son, Richard Usher, will entertain and enthral you. Also we are delighted to introduce two new guides; Dr Alison Duncan and David Forsyth, who are both professional historians and Edinburgh experts. We limit the tour to 12 guests so everyone is involved (unlike those many tours of 30, 40 or even more!) Stuart's family has historic connections with Edinburgh (Stuart's great-great Uncle, Andrew Usher, donated the magnificent Usher Hall to the city . Andrew was also known as the 'father of the scotch whisky blending industry').  Their deep knowledge of the cultural, historical and architectural aspects of the city means they have a unique perspective on our wonderful capital. Your guides will show you the cultural treasures of Edinburgh, the secrets of its past and its famous characters, and are rightly renowned for their entertaining and witty commentary.

What a wonderful tour! Our guide, Douglas was incredibly engaging and knowledgeable. We loved the tour, we learnt so much about beautiful Edinburgh, especially about different spots that we'd unsuspectingly wandered on past in previous days. It was a highlight of our trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of the Royal Mile. Our guide David, with his enthusiasm, humour and lots of big and small (which we especially liked) facts about Edinburgh's history, made it a very engaging tour. There were only 4 of us, which made the contact very personal and allowed us to ask lots of questions that were answered knowledgeably. What a passion! Fantastic!

Wonderful morning exploring and orienting ourselves with our amazing guide Mr. Usher! His deep knowledge of Edinburgh and its history, compelling stories, attention to our group's ability to hear, and humor made for a perfect introduction to this complex, beautiful city. After this detailed introduction, we were able to both maneuver the city and had a very good idea of what we'd see in the time we had there--including the fascinating Surgeons' Museum! Highly, highly recommend!
