Akagera National Park has a diversity of wildlife including buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas and many others. After a long time being extinct in Akagera National Park, the black rhinos and lions have recently been restocked.     Akagera National Park lies in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It's characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles.

Viator told us in two different occasions that the park entry ticket was included, that was incorrect. But the trip it self was awesome! A good guide with a lot of knowledge.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He maintained a safe environment during COVID. This is a full day trip with a nice lunch and snacks along the way. Zero hassle and great door to door device.

The only reason I didn’t give it a five stars rating is that one day is definitely not enough to see the big five (though I was lucky to see the lions) ... I would have loved to combine it with a night drive to see the carnivores at work.
