We booked this 2-day Cairo–Alexandria trip to celebrate my husband’s birthday and fulfil a lifelong dream to see the pyramids. Instead, we were left exhausted, frustrated, and heartbroken by a disorganised, misleading, and poorly executed experience.
???? Transport:
We were crammed into an uncomfortable van for 7+ hours each way with no toilet onboard and just one bathroom break. The vehicle smelled, had barely functioning air con, and no space to rest. We were told there would be a coach — that was not the case.
???? Communication:
Our guide spoke very limited English, meaning we missed most of the explanations. Several stops were added (like perfume and papyrus shops) which we never agreed to, and we were pressured to buy or sit waiting in a hot van.
???? Misleading description:
The booking stated “Nile cruise accommodation,” which is one of the main reasons we booked — it turned out to be a hotel (that didn’t even know we were coming).
We also paid extra to enter the Great Pyramid, but were rushed through in under 30 minutes — a complete letdown for something that was meant to be the highlight of the trip.
???? Food & Comfort:
We were not given breakfast as promised, had no comfort breaks on day two, and lunch was rushed with no drink options offered. The guide sat with us during meals which felt intrusive. The return bus ride split us up for another 7 hours on my husband’s birthday.
When we complained, we were dismissed with excuses, technicalities, and patronising responses. Despite raising serious issues — both emotional and logistical — we were offered just 25% off a future trip, which we have no intention of taking. No accountability, no real apology.
This trip didn’t just fail to meet expectations — it ruined a once-in-a-lifetime experience we had been excited for. We left feeling hurt, unheard, and cheated.
Save your money. Book elsewhere. This company prioritises profit over people and will gaslight you the moment you raise an issue.
