Our guide Carla Silva was exceptional, very professional and a lovely lady plus we were lucky to have her 1 to 1, lunch was above average for tours. sight seeing trip wise--for us the section visiting Silves but not viewing the Castle was disappointing and not seeing more of the local Cork and wine manufacturing methods rather than time wasted in souvenir places.

We spent our first day in the Algarve on a full-day tour with @zebra_safari_tours visiting the highest peaks of the region. As we zipped through green meadows, visited a castle in a medieval village, enjoyed the views from the gorgeous town of Monchique, tasted the local honey and potent 'firewater', and devoured an endless feast in a family run restaurant, we saw a side of the Algarve that few know of. This Algarve is gentler, slower-paced (but never boring), staggeringly beautiful, and overflowing with history. Our guide Jose was full of information and opinions and it was such a pleasure to be driven around in absolute comfort and at a relaxed, comfortable pace. Zebra Safari Tours prides itself on promoting local businesses and showing off the Algarve in a novel, adventurous, and entertaining way. A definite five-star recommendation for your next trip to the south of Portugal
