Consigliatissimo.

We chose delux tour because my hus. has back pain problem.. This was fast , cool air, puntual, and family atmosphere of 9 guests with guide Lu who was so humourous and care to everybody in taking pictures and tried to show every corner of attraction in gentle manner. I love to ride any kind of boat, one for crossing delta, the other for hand rowing by native, and the last one is motorboat going to amazing restaurant which has awsome food and stream view... and hamok riding... Native singing, visiting coconut candy small factory... native house.. all different kinds of tropical frut trees ...wow it was unforgettable tour and strongly recommend tour...

Our tour guide was Mr Le Duy Nhut who was a war veteran and had lots of history, personal anecdotes and information to share with us. He was personable and would give honest advice at various stops along the tour, including what we should buy or not. We never felt pushed to tip or buy anything, but we were free to appreciate the Ben Tre countryside for what it was.
Mr Nhut arrived at our apartment at District 1 early in time for the 8am pick-up. We had a mini tour bus (which was really comfortable and spacious) for our group of five people. We were dropped off at our apartment at close to 5pm and received recommendations on how we could spend the evening in Saigon. Although we were not staying in a hotel, there were no issues with the pick-up and drop-off.
The best part of the trip was taking a traditional row boat through the river canals with nipah palms flanking the banks. The coconut juice served to us on the boat was sweet and refreshing. It was also really restful cycling through the countryside and taking in the sights and scenery slowly. Some of us who were not comfortable cycling were able to take a motorised tuk tuk through the countryside and could wait at the lunch point for us. During our tour at Ben Tre, we visited a brick kiln factory, the home of mat weavers and also a coconut factory. We ended our tour in Ben Tre with a decent meal in a sheltered outdoor setting with a fantastic spread of king prawns, elephant fish, spring rolls, fried rice, fried noodles and star macaroni soup. We particularly enjoyed the fried banana flowers (never expected flowers to be so tasty).
It was an easy trip which can be done in slippers.
