    Can Gio is located in Ho Chi Minh. This is also the only district of Ho Chi Minh City that is bordered by the sea. By road, Can Gio is about 50km from Ho Chi Minh and located in the Southeast. Because the four sides are the sea and the river, Can Gio is like a green island of the sea. Vam Sat tourist area is an eco-tourism area which attracts the most tourists among the mangrove biosphere reserves in Can Gio. At the foot of Dan Xay Bridge, you will stop and enjoy sugarcane juice Arrive at Lam Vien - Can Gio Lam Vien Island has immense green mangrove forests. Canoe to visit the mangroves and the Sac Forest Revolution Base. Free bath (swimming pool) Go for a walk and take photos When you go to Can Gio beach on 30/4, you can enjoy fresh seafood dishes, always ready to serve at seafood restaurants along the coast (self-pay).

Our guide picked us up from our hotel at M city Saigon hotel at 7:40. We made it to the ferry at about 9:30. Had to come off the bus. Whatever you do, just climb one flight of stairs on the ferry! Learned the hard way by getting yelled at???? When coming off the ferry and reaching it’s about 45 min ride. Possibility for a toilet break during that ride. First stop is monkeys and war site visitation. Take with you extra peanuts if you want, the guide gave us few for free. DO NOT come with glasses or hats or anything that can be snatched away. If you do they only MIGHT trade your thing for an ice cream that they only sell in the beginning of the trail. Monkeys are harmless, when they approached me thinking I have something I just showed empty hands and they left me alone. Don’t walk your hands in the pockets, they will think you have something. Also saw big crocodiles. Don’t wear platforms or anything unstable, the road to the war site is made out of unstable wood and sticks. Wear a pug repellant or lemongrass oil, there will be mosquitoes. Lunch was about 13:00 where you could digest it alongside the sea. Then it was a ride back. Our guide had a very nice personality but he did seem slightly inattentive and sleepy. Good plus side he did offer to take pictures of us with the monkeys.

We booked this tour on recommendation. It was very well organized, our English speaking guide Robert ???? (Dong) was professional, funny and patient. We were picked up on time, after about 1.5 hours we had arrived at the monkeys. We were warned beforehand to take care of hats, glasses and bags. As soon as we got out of the car, the monkey stole his glasses from his hand by a fellow passenger ???????????????? Then we went to the crocodiles and fish market. After mediocre lunch, it was time to drive home. The tour took about 8 hours. It was great and recommended. Especially Robert we would like to thank for the great tour.

Robert was an amazing guide and also gave us a list of places to eat and things to see which was really helpful as it was our first time visiting the city. Seeing all the monkeys was a highlight and the boat ride through the mangrove was great. I would highly recommend
