    Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the dock, boat rides along Saigon River (approx. 1hr15m) Arrive at Cu Chi tunnel. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. Have lunch. Return to Saigon by bus.

The Mekong River Waterway Tour, which I experienced while meeting an exciting Gucci tunnel experience and friendly guide wrapping. In particular, the Gucci tunnel penetration experience that will be remembered for the rest of my life was the best experience. I almost died after getting stuck in a narrow hole while looking for glasses that my son spilled during the Gucci tunnel experience.

Trip very good although trip by river not very interesting return by bus was better but slow. The tunnels are well worth seeing but need to do in conjunction with the War Museum as it makes it easier to undertstand the conditions they lived in and the horrific existence the Vietnamese people had to survive.

We went by fast river boat and returned by bus. River trip was good and interesting to see life on the river but the return bus trip was more enlightening into how life is in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh. The Tunnels were very interesting and gave a good explanation of what the Vietcong did during many occupations by a number of foreign countries. They were certainly innovative people as was evident throughout Vietnam. The Tunnels were obviously commercial in intent but worth the visit. Tour guides vary in competence but overall are good value.
