Enjoyable and interesting day out but if I did this again I would not go on an organised tour.
After getting on the coach was told about a compulsory stop on the way at an ‘art’ workshop. When we got to Cu Chi, the tour guide couldn’t get us off the coach quick enough and almost ran us round the tour. Although very interesting I am sure we missed a lot due to being rushed from one bit to the next. Had almost no time to actually get involved at some of the interactive points.
There is a lot to see and do, crawl through tunnels, hide in a hole in the ground, go into some underground bunkers (kitchen, etc), go on the shooting range, look at the abandoned American tank and weapons, look at the range of deadly traps created by the Vietnamese fighters and more just wish we could have spent more time at some of these.
