Went in the morning (7am pick-up from central Saigon) with Les Rives. Travelled there by speed boat up the Saigon river. Journey took just over the hour. Excellent trip, don't even think about going by road. Crawled through tunnels and saw lots of exhibits on tunnel warfare. Fascinating insights into this part of the war. Reconstructed tunnels are quite a bit bigger than the originals (which we saw), so are quite easy to get through.
Firing range not included in overall price (which I knew in advance). Cost was 68k VND per bullet, with a minimum of 10, so overall cost 680K or near enough £20. I chose the AK47, which was on semi-automatic (single shot). It was OK but kept jamming. Never hit the target, but they wouldn't let me fire left-handed (that's my excuse anyway). With hindsight, the fully automatic M60 might have been the sounder choice.
Overall, this was a great trip. A must-do when in Saigon. Morning was probably the right time to go, as the whole place was starting to get pretty crowded by the time we were leaving at about noon. Had some pretty good food at the restaurant (incl in price). Would recommend Les Rives.
