Farm-To-Table Healthy Cooking Class in Ho Chi Minh City

We had a fantastic experience at the farm and cooking class! Everything was so organized from the pickup at our hotel, the tour of the wet market, exploring the garden and harvesting our food, and the cooking class! Our guide was Tiên who was very nice and informative and was an excellent cooking teacher. The dishes we prepared were delicious and I can’t wait to recreate these meals at home! Also, on the ride to the farm we asked about recommendations to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, and our guide Tiên arranged to take us immediately following the cooking class for a reasonable price. That tour was fascinating and she was such a knowledgeable tour guide. Long story story, I highly recommend this experience!

We had a wonderful half day experience at the farm learning about the different health/medicinal benefits of the various herbs and locally grown produce. This was topped by the cooking class and delicious four course lunch. Alice, our guide, was extremely friendly as well as informative, providing us with easy, step by step instructions to ensure we were all successful chefs. We look forward to trying all the recipes at home. A highly recommended activity!

The farm is located in nice rural area. Although the guide/chef Aura was very helpful and nice, chef Tien said his opinions, some of which may be hurtful to people - he bragged to the point it was uncomfortable. Whole cooking class was well planned (first a visit on the field to collect the vegetables/herbs, then a cooking class), but we cooked only 4 small dishes - it's not a full lunch really. It was really overpriced, since it took only 2-3 hours not 5 hours as the description says and the portions were small.
