    Veteran tour of Vietnam - features: Australian and New Zealand war veterans are always welcome in our country. For our Vietnam military tours, we recognize the importance of understanding the significance of the operations that took place during the war. -We value in-depth knowledge of the various areas of operations, such as the battle of Long Tan, so we use specialist English-speaking local guides for each area you wish to visit. Wherever feasible, we endeavour to locate Vietnamese veterans and civilians with first-hand knowledge of relevant wartime events. 8:00 am Pick-up at your hotel and depart for Vung Tau. Stop off at Ba Ria to pick up your travel permit to the sites. We visit at the Long Tan Cross site, the Horseshoe and the Long Phuoc Tunnels. After lunch, visit Nui Dat (SAS Hill) and the Ba Ria Orphanage or Thi Nghe orphanage. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Finish Long Tan - Nui Dat Battle Field 1 Day Tour at the hotel around 5:00 PM.

Our tour guide Mr Chin (Dingo) was fabulous. His knowledge of the Vietnam War made this trip so much more worthwhile. We dro8ve to Nui Dat & Long Tan & Dingo conducted services at each. We had a great lunch in Vungtau & visited the site of the Peter Badcoe Club where Vets stayed for their R & R. We came back to HMC by ferry. A long day but well worth it.

Great day checking out Long Tan and Nui Dat. Company purchased flowers for us to lay at Long Tan Cross which allowed us to properly pay our respect to all who had fallen. Loved the Pork Pho for lunch. Not a path well worn by most tourists but a pilgrimage well worth making as an Australian. Chose not to go to orphanage. Left at 8am back to HCM City by 4. Have a real appreciation now of what Australian service men experienced during the Vietnam War.

Long, but very interesting day. Disappointed that the Government has removed the plaque from the Long Tan Cross, it lessens the true significance of the area The best part was when we talked our guide into letting us visit the Robert Taylor Museum of World Wide Arms in Vung Tau, in one wing, this museum has the most extensive Australian Memorabilia from World War 1 to current uniforms. Could have spent all day there, extensive, realistic, informative and well put together.
