  • The Battle of Long Tan, Vung Tau, Vietnam
    Long Tan Nui Dat battlefield is the most famous battle fought by the Australian Army during the Vietnam War. This battle took place in a rubber plantation. On 18 August 2016 a low-key ceremony was held on the site of the battle; more than 1,000 Australian veterans and their families travelled to Viet Nam to participate in the 50th anniversary commemoration. The tour will begin with a departure for Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province by minivan. The local guide will take you to the site of Long Tan Battlefield where you will visit the former 1st Australian Task Force at Nui Dat.

  • Nui Dat hill, Ba Ria, Vietnam
    Our first stop-over is Nui Dat SAS Hill, where you will be shown the helicopter parking and camping areas of soldiers and explained the important sites during the war. You will have an overview of the 4 km circle of the Nui Dat base perimeter. Next, we will visit the rubber forest and pass Mong Ngua Mountain – which was used to be the shelter of Vietnamese soldiers.

    Afterwards, we continue transferring to Long Tan Cross Memorial to commemorate the Australian and Vietnamese soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the war

  • Long Phuoc Tunnels, Ba Ria, Vietnam
    then Long Phuoc Tunnels dug by the Viet Minh and Viet Cong for fighting and sheltering. Long Phuoc Tunnels is our last stop in a half-day tour to Long Tan Nui Dat battlefield.

    We will drive back to Ba Ria for late lunch at a local restaurant. Our tour guide will recommend you some specialties of this land, it all depends on you. After a short rest, you will return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Met up with Dingo as he picked me up from my hotel earlier than arrival time with a smile on his face happy to take me on a tour. We first went to the nui dat base , started down the bottom and made our way around. The loop included two memorial visits which were decorated with poppies and very clean. Dingo then gives you a rose to place on the memorial to show tribute to those who served. The car trip was great as well, nice and air conditioned , very well maintained. I highly recommend this tour for anyone and everyone.. thanks Dingo!

We jumped in the car at 5am to beat the weekend traffic and got to spend a serene morning wandering the remaining Long Tan and Nui Dat areas where Australian troops supported the battle. Mr Chien and our driver were great at providing information and a laugh. The little touches like flowers to place at the memorial sites and poppies to wear for photos were a nice surprise.

Vietnam veteran husband and I took this tour. It was the first time he had returned since war. Our guide Hillbilly Jack was amazing. We learned more about the history of Vietnam listening to him. His extensive knowledge, pictures and resources showed a young man very dedicated to his work. Had a great day. Lunch was great. Thanks Jack
