  • The Battle of Long Tan, Vung Tau, Vietnam
    Long Tan Nui Dat battlefield is the most famous battle fought by the Australian Army during the Vietnam War. This battle took place in a rubber plantation. On 18 August 2016 a low-key ceremony was held on the site of the battle; more than 1,000 Australian veterans and their families travelled to Viet Nam to participate in the 50th anniversary commemoration. The tour will begin with a departure for Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province by minivan. The local guide will take you to the site of Long Tan Battlefield where you will visit the former 1st Australian Task Force at Nui Dat.

  • Nui Dat hill, Ba Ria, Vietnam
    Our first stop-over is Nui Dat SAS Hill, where you will be shown the helicopter parking and camping areas of soldiers and explained the important sites during the war. You will have an overview of the 4 km circle of the Nui Dat base perimeter. Next, we will visit the rubber forest and pass Mong Ngua Mountain – which was used to be the shelter of Vietnamese soldiers.

    Afterwards, we continue transferring to Long Tan Cross Memorial to commemorate the Australian and Vietnamese soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the war

  • Long Phuoc Tunnels, Ba Ria, Vietnam
    then Long Phuoc Tunnels dug by the Viet Minh and Viet Cong for fighting and sheltering. Long Phuoc Tunnels is our last stop in a half-day tour to Long Tan Nui Dat battlefield.

  • Ba Ria, Ba Ria, Vietnam
    We will drive back to Ba Ria for late lunch at a local restaurant. Our tour guide will recommend you some specialties of this land, it all depends on you. After a short rest, you will return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Dingo Chien was a fantastic guide he was very friendly and helpful. He shared with us many interesting stories and facts about the are and the history. He very kindly held a service at each of the memorials which were very moving, he is very passionate about the Australians who served in Vietnam. My partner is a modern veteran but Dingo pointed out areas where the units he was in were present in Nui Dat. The tour was fantastic and one I think every Australian and New Zealander should do when visiting Ho Chi Minh. We had a great lunch with Dingo after the tour. Both Dingo and our Driver Three were very professional and friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable day.

Long Tan and Dui Dat tour with Long Phuoc tunnels was great. Ali was a great guide, well versed in English and respectful of the Australian War effort. Would recommend to any Australian or NZ tourist or veteran.

Dingo Chien, a tour guide for the Nuidat-Longtan tour. His experience and knowledge was exceptional. Photographs and detailed maps were helpful. His reverence displayed a man of quality. I highly recommend to anyone considering a tour to engage Dingo as your guide.
