I enjoyed this tour for the historical aspect and visiting the tunnels. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history but unfortunately the tour was very misadvertised. The tour was meant to be a private tour that went for 8 hours. Unfortunately, we were back within 6 hours, and i think it's down to the promised activities we missed. Our day started with a "rest" stop, which was well off the route to the tunnels. The rest stop was actually a government program for agent orange victims that made beautiful artwork. Whilst it was interesting to watch the artwork be made, the "rest" stop tour ended at a gift shop.
We then made our way to the tunnels and learnt about them, making our way through the various exhibits about how the vietnamese fought, crawling through the tight tunnels and getting the chance to shoot a gun before heading back to our hotel.
The tour advertises rubber tree plantations and jungle sightseeing
Be warned, this is simply driving past a plantation on the way to the tunnels and looking out the window while moving 50 kilometres an hour.
Secondly, the tour advertised stopping at a spontaneous countryside wet market and also enjoying fresh tropical fruits. Neither of these happened for us.
Whilst the tunnels were a great experience, this tour was misadvertised and left us disappointed.
