The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam. It is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam as it produces three harvests per year. The fertile Mekong Delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The delta area marks the end of a 4,500km journey made by the Mekong River after having traveled through six countries. Mỹ Tho is one of the biggest cities in the Mekong Delta, dotted with serene Buddhist pagodas and surrounded by dense rivers. Many great destinations for visitors have been established by the local government and private companies, serving thousands of tourists every day. Vinh the guide was super friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the history of Vietnam and the local region we visited. The boat cruises were awesome fun and my wife and I especially enjoyed the easy bike road through the scenic village. Amazing scenery and a great lunch as well. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
