Start the tour in the afternoon by 4×4 vehicle and drive towards the ‘Qara’ mountain range with its spectacular view of the Salalah plains dotted with thick shrub & woodland. On the way visit Wadi ‘Dawka’ (UNESCO World heritage site) known as the ‘Frankincense Wadi’, Experience the Frankincense and its use in the past as well as in the modern World. Visit the ‘Lost City of Ubar’ (UNESCO World heritage site), This legendary ancient kingdom, known as Ubar, was said to have existed in one of the most inhospitable places on earth – a vast and forbidding Rub Al Khali desert, appropriately known as the Empty Quarter. According to myth, the desert swallowed up Ubar. After walking around the site proceed to the Empty Quarter to experience the “biggest sand desert in the World” by rambling on fascinating sand dunes. A breathtaking overview of the vast desert awaits you on the top of the dunes. Enjoy the Sunset over the Rub Al Khali Desert. Note: entrance fee Uber 3 OMR pp, not included.

Ahmed is very kind and positive. He arranged for us two bespoke excursions and made us discover astonishing landscapes, scents and flavours. In the "empty quarter" excursion he drove us on top of a dune and prepared a camp where we could had a wonderful dinner cooked at the moment. Nothing to complain, everything to appreciate.

Nous avons vécu une très belle expérience. Nous avons passé la nuit dans le désert avec nos deux enfants (6ans et 21 mois). Les enfants ont beaucoup aimé vivre cette expérience. Un grand merci à Ahmed abu Salem pour sa gentillesse. C’est un super guide et un super chauffeur.

Ahmed est un super guide, il a coeur de bnous faire découvrir son pays, ses traditions . Il est au petit soin avec ses clients . L'a nuit dans le désert au campement et le coucher/ lever de soleil face aux duens de sable étaient grandiose . Encore merci Ahmed pour ces merveilleux moments
