Very nice salt mine. However, the total journey from bucharest and back is 5hrs (2.5hrs both ways). You get 2hrs in the mine but to be honest I spent no more than 30 mins there. They've put mini golf and other activities in there so you spend more time down there than needed as there's not much more to see. I'd recommend anyone looking to go on this trip to see if perhaps there are trips available which take you to the salt mine as welll as something else nearby. I personally felt the time and distance travelled for such a short event wasn't worth my day. Nonetheless, the mine itself is certainly impressive.

The trip itself was very good and we enjoyed it other then a few things the first is that we were in a minibus it was very hot their was no air conditioning There’s no windows that open in the mini van the driver had to be asked to open the 2 front windows in the end I felt quite unwell with the heat no ventilation in the van, also we had to get ourself to the pickup hotel we were waiting in front of the hotel ,while he was was in the car park with the van. It would been professional of him to come and introduce himself to the group waiting for him rather then having to try and find him in the car park which did tick me off a little, as we done enough running around to get to the pick up point on time. The trip states aircon in the mini van which was clearly not the case the mini van should of not gone out it’s mid July so very hot . It was unbearable at times..

It was the sheer size and beauty of the mine, it really is a beautiful place, liked the quirky things they had put in there like the pool and crazy golf. It is superb
