During this tour we will show you the Bavarian mountains, the lake of Chiemsee (including a boat ride (of about 20 minutes) to the island and the entrance to the palace of Herrenchiemsee (guided tour of about 45 minutes)).  Enjoy a breathtaking landscape and a nice boat ride over the lake of Chiemsee. Arriving on the men's island you enjoy a nice walk through the nice nature and visit then the palace of Herrenchiemsee,  one of the three palaces of King Ludwig II. You will have the possibility to enjoy the lake of Chiemsee by taking a boat and also take some free time to walk on the island and on shore.  Besides that we will show you more of the bavarian mountains on the way back where you will see the area of Traunstein and the nice valleys around, such as Reit im Winkl and Bad Reichenhall. Enjoy the breathtaking nature and feel the symphony of nature, lake and the bavarian style of living.

oh you King Ludwig Ludwig’s palaces cannot disappoint… always sparkly and shiny and over the top. This tour is a definite must do when in Salzburg! You cannot miss this out!

Wow! We found out during our tour in Neuschwanstein about this lesser known palace of King Ludwig. As it is closest to Salzburg, we wanted to take a tour to it. Definitely worth it! King Ludwig admired Versailles and has this one built in his style (grander and bigger). Never completed but absolutely stunning! Our guide was informative, shared lots of keen insights and the design of this palace. Highly recommended for those who love history and drama! a really great tour.

A better versailles.. ? We learned about this tour during another tour with Bernie and since I loved Versailles I wanted to see it. You arrive there by the boat and then we opted for the horse carriage ride, going through the woods and then boom! all of the splendor, with the great working fountains make it an appearance that you’ll never forget! Inside stunning and thank you Bernie for pointing out so many details that we would not have realized during the standard guided tour.
