Bernhard from Be Special Tours made our trip to Herrenchiemsee Castle an absolute joy. From Salzburg, the scenic drive flew by thanks to his hilarious stories about “Mad” King Ludwig. The castle itself? Jaw-dropping—especially the Hall of Mirrors and the eerie unfinished rooms. Bernds passion brought every detail to life, and the private tour let us explore at our pace. Boat ride + Alpine views = icing on the cake. Only regret? Not packing snacks (tip: bring a sandwich!). Already planning a winter return—thanks to Bernhard, we left feeling like Ludwig experts!

If I could give this tour more than 5 stars, I would! From start to finish, the Private King Ludwig Tour was nothing short of magical. Our guide, Bernhard, made the experience extraordinary with his passion for history, witty storytelling, and genuine warmth. oh you King Ludwig Ludwig’s palaces cannot disappoint… always sparkly and shiny and over the top. This tour is a definite must do when in Salzburg! You cannot miss this out!
