Alim was personable and informative throughout the tour. My group and I loved that he shared just the right amount of information without overwhelming us. We did not love that we had to pay for every entrance and meal after paying $65 each for the tour. To be clear our additional cost were about $30 each with entrances and food. Considering the $195 paid to Viator, we spent $285 as a group of 3 but the tour guide only received $50 total for the day. Booking directly with a local guide or arranging transportation and walking through the sites independently would have been much more cost effective.

Was really fun and informative. Our guide Olim was a Samarkand native and was incredibly friendly and managed to show us all the main parts of the city without it feeling rushed. He also shared loads of information about general Uzbek life. We received great recommendations for dining as well how to spend the rest of our trip
