Great way to travel from San Jose Airport to Monteverde. Our driver Nick was great. We stopped at a cute roadside restaurant for breakfast and he gave us lots of history about Costa Rica, which I appreciated. Had we driven ourselves, we wouldn’t have had those experiences and I’m pretty sure we would have gotten lost!

We booked nearly all our transfers with Everywhere Costa Rica, and it was the best decision! Hilda, who dealt with all our bookings, was super efficient and friendly and always happy to make any last minute time/location adjustments which really helped us out. We always received an email 24 hours in advance re-confirming the booking and notifying us of the driver. We did two private transfers (San Jose > Monteverde / Puerto Viejo > San Jose) and 1 shared transfer (Monteverde > La Fortuna) and all were fantastic - I would happily do both again. We were also pre-warned about the roads and the drivers by a friend who had been before, but we experienced only minor delays on our way back to San Jose Airport (which was predicted and so we were advised to move our pick up time forward a couple hours) and we always felt extremely safe when in the vans and jeeps. I would highly recommend using these guys if you want stress-free, reliable and safe transfers :)
