We will travel to SAN JUAN CHAMULA, indigenous village near San Cristobal de Las Casas, to witness nad participate in a traditional celebration of CARNIVAL at the end of February. Before going to the carnival, we will drive to ZINACANTAN, where we will visit a local family. We will learn about textiles they produce and will try to make hand-made tortilla which will accompany our breakfast. Transport is provided and included in the price as well as pick up from your accommodation, center zone. Chiapas is a state rich in indigenous culture, traditions, customs that are expressed through colorful parades and ancestral dances. Each town has its own dress and masks. The experience is more than visual: it becomes unforgettable thanks to the explanations about the roots of the customs and the legends that you will hear. Thanks to that, you will see it from another perspective. It's not just a parade or a mask: there's a lot of history and faith behind it!
