Now you can walk in the footsteps of 225,000 sailors on a self-guided audio tour narrated by former Midway sailors and officers. USS Midway also contains interactive exhibits and climb-aboard aircraft for all ages. Don't miss the flight simulators, gift shop and cafe. Experience what it was like to be part of a "city at sea", explore galleys, officer's country, sleeping quarters and the engine room of the first Navy ship too large for the Panama Canal! You will be amazed by the 4-acre flight deck and the 360-degree panoramic view of downtown San Diego.

Very interesting tours and friendly docents. I especially enjoyed listening to a retired pilot explain what was involved in landing on a carrier. There are a lot of stairs and a few ladders to navigate at times.

This place was absolutely fascinating. Our kids ages 6-15 were enthralled. We saw mostly everything in about 2.5 hours, but we could have spent many more hours. Wear good shoes because it’s a lot of walking. There is a bit of stepping over doorways and some climbing (mostly optional) so be aware of that if you have any physical limitations. It was a great step into history, and gave all of us such a strong appreciation for our armed forces.

So worth the money and the time. We got to see a part of history and visit one of the larger ships in our Navy. My son is in the Navy, so it was a great experience for us to see how he lives onboard first hand. The Guides were amazing as well!
