    Battleship IOWA has been at the front line of protecting America’s Freedom and Security since 1943. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are providing visitors an opportunity to experience special limited capacity outdoor fresh-air tours that comply with public health guidelines. Our Self-Guided Outdoor Tour Experience includes free use of our award-winning mobile app for a truly memorable experience aboard IOWA. Walk in the footsteps of sailors and hear there stories from three eras of service including WWII, Korean War, and the Cold War.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

My family's visit to the USS Iowa was fun and interesting for everyone. The presence of personnel who served on her and shared their experiences and knowledge of her enhanced the visit beyond what the ship herself had to offer. The food from Vicky's Doghouse was delicious and filling.

Great museum for the whole family. It's a fun friendly environment. I enjoyed this wonderful museum with my family and had much fun.

My son has been obsessed with the USS Iowa for several years and for his 13th birthday I booked a private tour with the general admission for the two of us and it was wonderful. Our guide was Retired Navy Captain and he gave a fantastic and insightful tour. Worth the trip and the money! It was a day he’ll never forget!
